David Miranda is a Colombian Architect, Design Director and Senior Set Designer with more than 25 years of experience across television, broadcast, entertainment, live events, architecture and commercial environments.

His work spans set design, broadcast and virtual studio design, architectural visualization, scenic construction and design direction — from more than two decades at RCN Television to independent projects in Colombia and Latin America.

Assistant Set Designer → Set Designer → Scenic Design Director | More than two decades at RCN Television, progressing from Assistant Set Designer to Set Designer and later Scenic Design Director. My work included television sets, entertainment formats, broadcast environments, virtual studio design, live events and special productions.

Selected television and entertainment projects developed during my career at RCN Television, with roles evolving from set design assistance to set design and later scenic design direction. The work included physical sets, studio environments, special productions and, during the transition to virtual production, selected virtual studio projects.

During this period, I developed scenic design and construction for major RCN live events and award ceremonies, including multiple editions of Premios TVyNovelas, Premios India Catalina and Premios Nuestra Tierra. My work covered the process from design development and visualization through scenic construction and final delivery. For the Concurso Nacional de Belleza, scenic design responsibilities were shared as part of the production team.

My broadcast design work at RCN Television included news, sports, presidential debates, international sports broadcasts and special television environments. During the introduction of virtual studio technology, I also developed selected virtual set and virtual studio design projects, expanding scenic design into digital broadcast environments.

Since transitioning to independent practice, my work has expanded across broadcast, entertainment, live events, architecture, retail and commercial environments, combining design direction, set design, visualization, technical development and scenic construction.
